Recommendations please

i know very little about camcorders and video editing and i'm not looking to buy anything at the moment but i need to find out a couple of things for something i'm doing at work

could someone please point me in the direction of a couple of high end HD camcorders, and a couple of mid range ones

and the same again for video editing software

and help would be much appreciated

thanks

Re: Recommendations please

HD camcorders range from well under £1000 and go up from there to many thousands - and these are still not professional camcorders.
Editing software starts from under £50 and goes up to several hundreds.

I think that to be able to offer any suggestions on what to buy will require a lot more information on what you want to do with the camcorder and software. What platform (PC or Mac) will also help, as will what you will do with the footage - put onto DVD to sell or put into a Power Point presentation etc.

Mark.

Re: Recommendations please

it needs to be for a PC

it won't be for professional use but as close to it as possible

bascially top end software that someone sitting at home would use
