Canon DC-100 DVD- GOOD OR BAD

Hi all Im looking at getting a Camcorder for under £300 it is just for general use family album etc. I have been looking at the Canon DC-100 DVD which is in argos for £239 could anyone say yay or nay on this one and also give an alternative for the price?

DC-100 isn't terrible, but you can do better.
If you want to stick with Canon, you can get the DC19 from Amazon, which has a larger CCD, better video quality, and will even take half decent stills to a memory card, for £299

I have the Panasonic VDR-D250. Excellent camera. Pictures look good on my HD TV. Got mine from Purely Gadgets.
