Re: Steadycam
Jason Bradbury made one in the last series of the Gadget Show , if not the last series , then the series before that . Might be worth having a go if you feel upto it . Check their website Five/gadget , or something like that

Re: Steadycam
Not technically a steadycam, but a cheap and small solution to help stabilise your shooting is to use a monopod. As well as using it extended, I use it retracted (holding the monopod near the bottom and close to my gut!) and that helps a lot. This photo isn't me but shows the idea...

I have a cheap Manfrotto one I paid £25 for.

I know people who use and like these Spiderbraces, but I've never used them...

cheers Mark, but I'll be doing a lot of movement so a steadycam will be best I think

Re: Steadycam
last year I had a website bookmarked, it was a UK "company" selling one but I can't remember the name, they were really cheap and "cam" was spelt "kam", but I've since lost the bookmark and cannot find them if I search for them!

Re: Steadycam
Could it have been these guys?

They have a range of different solutions; again I have not used any of them.

Oh well. Hague does have a range of different ones; did you scan that page? Some as cheap as £10 or so.

yeah, cheers, seen them before, they're always in the magazines, but I'll be doing a lot of movement myself while filming (concerts etc - local bands, going round the crowds etc)
