camcorder protection on the cheap

first of all i snowboard
second i didn't want to f**k my camcorder.
third i'm a cheapscate.

i know this might sound a bit strange but here goes.

as a boarder i was really worried about filming boarding and wrecking my camcorder. so this is my solution(tried & tested 4 4yrs)

1st. get stainless steel tea caddy that the camcorder fits snuggly into.
2nd. buy wide angled lense
3rd. you'll need a ruberised moulding adgent.(this is the only hard bit) something like silicone.*see note*
4th. line up corder and cut hole to suit wide lense.
5th. use moulding adgent and fit corder into tin.

hey presto...protected.

i know this sounds strange but it works a treat. the punishment this takes is unbelievable.although not waterproof it is rain and damage resistant.

if you want photos a personel req will do

*note*
i am luck and used a engineering product which is similar to the moulding adgent dentists use for your teeth.this is expensive but i could supply(limited)
mould in lense and supports 4 corder is all thats needed.

the amount of people that ask is nudging on the 50 mark so cant be that bad for (me anyway) £30.
