jvc GZ-MG21EK

hi there
i have the jvc GZ-MG21EK which is my first camcorder. overall i am happy with it but recording in low light is becoming really frustrating.
to be honest im not 100% sure on what will give me the best results but ive had a tinker and still cant get it right so i was hoping someone here might be able to give me a hand.
i have tried to shoot with nightscope on but the frame rate drops to something silly that is not watchable, i was wondering if there is another setting that will improve the frame rate in nightscope mode.
is this a known issue with this cam or maybe it has a fault.
any help much appreciated

cheers

matt

Re: jvc GZ-MG21EK

Have you tried enabling "gain up" in the menu?

Re: jvc GZ-MG21EK

I have only recently purchased a MG21 so haven't had a chance to try all the settings etc.
I recently read a post on a forum that suggested when videoing in low light with this range of cameras to increase the gain, choose a slower shutter speed, 25 fps was suggested, and set the white balance.
