Re: Is 170GB enough space?

It will probably be crashing due to lack of RAM more than hard disk space.

How much Ram do you have?

Re: Is 170GB enough space?

I know you've had trouble with studio before but thought it was OK now

At what point is it crashing?
capture
edit
render to AVI/ mpeg

Is this the first time it is crashing? ( after recapture of full dv??)
Can you pinpoint a particular point ( maybe some transistion/ effect)
Studio can use 512Mb
But even with a dual core processor with 2Gb of ram and 500Gb of free HDD it can still crash
Do you have the 9.4 update to it?
B4 you start spending money ... try and figure out at what point this started

See my last post on this thread re : AVI vs mpeg

These are previous threads on studio

Re: Is 170GB enough space?

Does the 170Gb HDD have Windows installed on it or is it a dedicated video capture drive?
If it has Windows on it then how much spare space is there?
Is it formated to FAT32 or NTFS?

Mark.
