Adobe premier 6

Hi.

I have been given an older version of this software to install on my computer.

My question is,when i have finished editing a project can adobe premier burn the project to disc or would i have to use my existing burning software which is Inter DVD creator.
I have used Inter DVD to edit projects before but get random frame skipping which is annoying.
I have been told that adobe even in this earlier version will work better.

My PC is a P4 2.8ghz with 512MB of ram and 120 GB of free HD space is this
ok for video editing.

Thanks.

Re: Adobe premier 6

The PC is more than good enough for NLE. More RAM will speed things up if you want to spend the money. Also more HDD space may be needed as captured .AVI video eats up around 13Gb per hour, and a separate video only HDD is recommended.

Adobe Premiere 6 does not include any DVD authoring. You will still need to use an external authoring program but it may be worth looking at others if you are not happy with what you have. The dropped frames could be down to capture problems, fragmented HDD, background programs etc etc so perhaps worth doing some housekeeping before spending any money on new software.

Mark.

I f you have captured video to Premiere . edited it and playing it in premiere does that run smoothly . if not when you have it in the timeline is there a redline along the top of the timeline if so you need to render it each time you make a change . I'm guessing a wee bit as I use Premiere pro 2.That still leaves you with havening to useanothe prog as
