Hi all.
Having recorded a friends wedding and discovered how poor the mic on my Canon MV600 is, I am in the market for a cheap and cheerful zoom mic and have found a couple on eBay that fit the bill.
The spec is as follows:
AUDIO TECHNICA CONDENSER CAMERA SHOTGUN MIC
Model: ATR-55
- Condenser Shotgun Microphone
- Two switchable range settings: "Normal" (uni-directional) for close- to medium-distance recording and "Tele" (super-cardioid) for long-distance pickup
- 3' attached cable with 3.5mm mini-plug
- Frequency response: 70Hz-18kHz
- Includes camera mount, stand clamp, 1/4" plug adapter, battery, and windscreen
SIMA MZM-1 MINI ZOOM MICROPHONE MZM1
- Picks up conversation, speeches, nature sounds and more
- Sound-isolating rubber shoe mount
- Frequency response: 100Hz-10kHz
- 300-hour battery life
- Uses one AAA battery (not included)
Please could anyone advise which of these is the better unit? Pricewise they are not too different.
Thanks.
