Skydiving

Hi,

Could someone recommend a camcorder that has a resolution higher than 640x480, robust enough to handle hard landings, and has a fairly decent lens?

Thanks for any advice!

Gary

Re: Skydiving

The first part is easy - any standard definition PAL camcorder will shoot 720x576.

I've not seen any data on which models can take the highest impact... and it's not the kind of thing I've tried... I would think stick with a DV tape based camcorder... I know some of the HDD models have a feature where they shut off if they think they have been dropped..

fairly decent lens? Well it depends on your definition of decent, and your budget. The lens quality tends to be consistant with camcorder price - a more expensive top of the range model will have a better lens (as well as the other key components) than an entry level model. Do you have a budget in mind?
