Sony HC-3 still pictures

I took my Sony HC-3 for a lunchtime stroll in Princess St Gardens in Edinburgh and would like to share some of the pictures that I took. Some are taken in "camera" mode at 4 megapixel (4:3 aspect ratio), some at 3Mp (16x9).

Some were taken in Video mode whilst I was filming, and this resolution is fixed at 2.3MP (16x9).

Backlight on was pressed sometimes, as the sky was much brighter than Edinburgh castle.

Re: Sony HC-3 still pictures

Haven't tried component, the cable looks a bit on the "cheap" side.

HDMI is great.

Looked at the photos and they are fine for a camcorder, but they are a bit washed out in places (the leaves at the edges), and in all honesty, not a match for my 3MP dedicated digital camera.

Re: Sony HC-3 still pictures

Inspired my Mark's swan footage, I took the HC-3 down the local pond yesterday whilst it was quite bright, so I've added some of the stills that I took.

I reckon one of them is actually very good, it's of a mallard duck. It's a 4MP still.
