Panasonic camcorder problem :(

I managed to fix my Panasonic NV-GS5B camcorder. I don't know how I did it but I opened it up and sprayed contact cleaner in.

Now everything seems to work except when I am recording, the tape records for 2 seconds then stops for 1 second then records for 2 seconds and so on. The same happens when I play back tapes.

In other words the tape rolls then stops then rolls then stops and so on when I am recording or playing back tapes. This is annoying.

Could this be anything to do with the motor in tape compartment or could it be because I sprayed the contact cleaner in the camcorder?

Please help

Why would you want to spray contact cleaner in a camcorder?, this doesn't sound very usefull to me . Don't do that it is not very usefull, who knows what kind of consequences that can have.I would suggest leaving it to dry and don't use it until it is really dry.

I sprayed contact cleaner in the camcorder because I was trying to clean the contacts thinking it could be something to do with the contacts
