I need a little help with my pana nvgs250

Ok I have an NVGS 250.

I do a lot of downhill mountain biking. Now I want to get some footage which would be good of some of the routes from the riders position

I have this and this - see piccy http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/9279/p1000114kz5.jpg

whats the best way to use this with the camera, the only way I can think so far is to use a good amount of duct tape and foam or something similar to give it a bit of cushion and tape it to the top of my helmet, I'm not that bothered about the paint coming off etc, just the longivity of the camera as long as I I dont come a cropper! I've looked into various helmet cameras without spending the earth and after contacting vaious people and checking out the quality they are rubbish. I'll also use it hand held sometimes but thats kinda irrelivant to the topic.

this is a short video of a place I sometimes go, as you can see the quality is rubbish about the same I've been sent uncompressed ( the route is fairly tame compared with some) they vary slightly, but not much better, so i guessed a good 3ccd cam with a good lense would do the job. whats your general opinion?

Re: I need a little help with my pana nvgs250

I'd search around on google for some ideas; here are a couple of links
http://www.camerahacker.com/build/Bi...ra_Mount.shtml
http://www.instructables.com/id/EVEHMFL6EMEP287FXN/

These mount the cam to the bike... taping it to the helmet might work.

The GS250 is a nice cam, though I don't see the 3 CCDs helping that much.. they are more about getting accurate colour. Your challange here is the movement of course. If the camcorder is bouncing around that movement is going to make the video look blurry like on the link you provided. Be sure to use manual focus, that should help. If the light is good you should be able to focus on infinity and still get good depth of field, and at least stop the camcorder from trying to change focus as you just miss hitting a tree....
