Re: I Need Help With Abobe Preiere Elements 2.0

You sound as if you would ideally need someone to actually show you these things on the program. This is very challenging in the context of a forum

Premiere Elements can be puzzling if you havent used a Video Editing program before or if used to something like WMM.

Try This web site which may be helpful in addition to Adobes own user forums ( which seem good having been myself out of curiousity)

Perhaps some " experts" here can answer very specific questions .

I would however in addition suggest an easy to read book such as "Master Adobe Premiere Elements" or "Premier Elements made simple " if you find the user guide too "boring". I must say I only looked at it yesterday and it seems quite well written if slightly scanty on detailed and advanced stuff
Peachpit Press do a few good easy to read titles
Despite being fairly "au fait" with it I have read one of such books in order to do simpler stuff without trying to figure it out and also be able to teach this and other such programs.

I've used this site extensively... http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/

Click on tutorials and choose a version of Premiere, it doesn't have Elements, but you should be able to grasp the basics from the tutorials, which are video based and show clicks etc...

Re: I Need Help With Abobe Preiere Elements 2.0

You really ought to get a book on this. This is fairly simple stuff, but the interface to newcomers is a bit daunting.

1.how to put text over the video like you see on tv shows and stuff where it says the persons name then there a lin and under the line is like what there job is our w/e

Go to the Title section. Make the title. Import it to a track above the track the person is on. Select the title, right click it, fade in, and fade out.

2.how to cut out certian parts of clips

Use the razor tool to cut the clip into sectons. Right click the bit you dont want and click remove and close.

3.how to put alot of clips into one like 3 seconds from a bunch of clips into one and how to combine clips

Use the preview screen to trim the clips you want to use, and put the trimmed clip on the timeline. Use the VideoFX to transition the clips.

4.how to slow down the clips fast forward it anjd pause but like so its permaintlly part of the clip so it plays like that

Use the time stretch tool ( just next to the razor tool ) to stretch or compress the time the clip runs. Use a still for pause bit.

all the best, good luck. Sounds like you are playing a bit of a trick on someone.
