JVC Drivers

Wonder if anyone can help me?
Knacked my Panasonic camcorder, chews tapes up, and borrowed a friends JVC GR-D60 camcorder.
Only problem Win Xp can't, or maybe won't , find the drivers.
Spent hours trawling the net and found no help, can't even get in touch with JVC direct.
So has anyone got any drivers or suggestions to find them?
many Thanks

Re: JVC Drivers

While camcorders often come with a drivers/software disc, XP should be able to recognise the device (either Firewire for tape capture, or USB for copying from the memory card).

Make sure the camcorder is switched on in the correct mode (see page 40 of the manual)

Re: JVC Drivers- Further problem now

Thanks for help , but still no good.

Managed to download them onto a dvd disk using my Philips dvd recorder.
Now problem is they are saved as VOB files and the software i have on my comp, Win Movie Maker , doesnt recognise the extension.

So now the question is how do i convert them into an ext that works with the software, say for instance a mpeg file?
