Please help if you can. I have a Canon MV 300 DV cam, originally only with DV out. I have used the hack from Smart DV to enable DV in and this seems to be OK. I have edited movies on my PC that I now want to take back to the camcorder. How do I do this? I am using Windows Movie Maker. I don't have Adobe, Pinnacle, Ulead movie software, only their "photoshop" stuff.

Presumably your are using Windows Me with Windows Movie Maker.

Its a long time since I had Me loaded on my system, but I'm 95% certain that you can't export with WMM.

I think the only solution is to buy the cheapest editing software that has this feature. Try the Ulead software.

JefUK is right WMM cant output DV via firewire.

There is a freeware untility called DVIO that can simply
capture or send avi files via firewire, it hasn't got any cam
controls so you need to start/stop/record etc manualy on the
camcorder but it should get you started.

Thanks for your responses. Looks like I'll have to get some dedicated software. I might just try out a free trial period first. I tried the link above for DVIO but can't access the page.
