Question about Firewire connection cable

Hello all,

I need to transfer mini-DV Tapes to my Panasonic DVD Recorder in order to burn the tape contents onto a DVD.

I used to have a 4p/4p firewire cable but can't find it.

I've just been and bought a Vivanco CKA 210 cable that is a 6p/6p but with two 4p/4p adaptors.

The guy in the shop said that there wouldn't be any loss as the cable is only 2m long but I'd just like you experts to confirm that it's the same quality as a "proper 4p/4p".

Thanks,

gaffer

Re: Question about Firewire connection cable

You should be fine - it shouldn't make any difference.
