Question Wedding video lights etc

Hi everyone

Im new here and was wondering if anyone can offer me some advice. Ive been asked by a friend to film his wedding in a few days. Its a Muslim Bangladeshi wedding and Im doing it as a favour for him. Im not a pro but am thinking that if I can make a good dvd of the event then I'll possibly buy some decent kit and do asian weddings on a regular basis.

The kit Ive got at the moment is a Sony TRV30 which Ive had for a few years. Ive got the Sony 20 watt light but my mate has said that he'll buy me a DSM Handex light kit (which I suggested). Now Im wondering if this is any good.

Should I go for the DSM by itself or in conjunction with the Sony 20 watt. Or should I go for something else which Ive seen mentioned in the forums: Paglight C6 or X3-Lite LED on-camera light?

Also should I film in 4:3 or in widescreen which has black bars at the top and bottom.

As this is a demo dvd, then if all goes well and I get favourable review then I may do a couple more if I can and then buy decent kit like the Sony FX1, FX7 or the HVRZ1.

Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
