Re: Adobe Premiere Elements 3

Thanx, loox very interesting and as predicted HDV support has been added.
Im not too sure about the ipod/ PSP output as (IMHO) I doubt that many people buying this product will want to watch thier edited stuff on mobile phones, PSP and Ipods

( You could have linked it ) LOL!!

Here it is

It seems that for features it is playing catch up with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum ( not a bad thing) but for anybody who likes and is used to the "Adobe" GUI it is certainly worth more than a glance as Vegas Movie Studios GUI may be an aquired taste . For simplicity of use, certainly Premiere Elements 3 is giving Pinnacle Studio a very serious run for its money without stinting on features and Stability.

Nice one!

Re: Adobe Premiere Elements 3

Available on pre-order from Amazon at £62.99 here.

And Sony Vegas 7, along with Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 7, are out now too!

Well I guess in 5 years' time, what you can do with video and different formats and media might have changed so much that by comparison all of today's excellent software will look unbelievably basic and limited!!! But just imagine what the manuals will look like!!!

They are mostly PDF files online these days anyway....It is the "made easy" or "master in 24 hrs" titles at the book section in PC World whose size should worry you

Tell me about it!! I bought a Canon digital (stills) camera just over 6 months ago - one of the main reasons for choosing it was because it's a compact auto-point-and-shoot but also lets you adjust almost all the settings manually when you want. It came with a printed "quick start guide" in a huge range of European languages, and then the whole manual on CD-ROM as a pdf. And how many times in 6 months do you think I've sat down at the computer to read the manual on the screen? (Answer: once, maybe twice!) And so how much have I learnt about how to use the manual settings properly so far? (Answer: almost nothing!)

I guess it's easier/cheaper for Canon to ship the same box to everyone in Europe rather than have 10 different ones, each with a printed manual in a different language. Actually, now that I've just got DTP that edits pdf's, I might get round to printing it out to look through when I want/need to. (And that DTP, from Serif, came with a very handy 200-page manual, in English! )

...I was just thinking, where I was working a few years ago they got AutoCAD 12, and the printed manuals were a veritable library of hardback books, which I seem to remember cost almost as much as the actual program?!!!
