What is the Canon DC95, a grey inport?

A few weeks ago it was reported that a Canon DC95 was to be released August and it was suggested an improved replacement of the DC100.
I noted today the Internet suppliers are now listing it, a surprise is that it is cheaper than the DC100. They do not give full specifications for it, so I can't compare features with the DC100.
The DC95 is NOT on the Canon UK website which makes me wonder are these Grey Inports from another country which we are often warned about.
Anyone in the know about the DC95?

Re: What is the Canon DC95, a grey inport?

The DC95 is a UK model - in fact it seems it is a UK only model.

Here is a reference:

and another

http://www.biosmagazine.co.uk/rev.php?id=522

It is brand new; the lack of any listing on the Canon site simply means they haven't updated it yet....

Not much in the first link, but the second gives me the impression it is a cheaper version of the DC100.
(I found it saying it lacks connections.)
Just wonder if they are trying to get the DVD version down to Mini-DV version price range.
Mind you I think these are Press articles and the official Canon specs. are needed. Also I should not rush out and buy one at this time.
Thanks for help.
