Video edit/special effects shows in uk?

Hi all, really sorry if this is a bit of an ignorant question. My other half has just started really getting into video editing and we would like to go to some kind of exhibition of software and hardware etc and demos etc. I wondered if anyone could suggest anything like this? Anything in the next month or so? Any ideas at all appreciated. Many thanks

Although I will propably attend both I would have to say that neither of those shows is aimed at the amatuer - really for the semi-pro and proffesional - shows for true video amatuers are sadly lacking in this country.
