Question Picture overlaying

Ok, well i'm looking for a program where i can go frame by frame and put in a picture (without exporting each frame puting it in photoshop etc...). i'm just looking to save a lot of time. Also if possible free would be nice. Thanks

Re: Picture overlaying

What you want is a compositing package. After Effects is probably the cheapest best known one . Apple Shake is probably the best one that will run on a PC (linux unless you get an old version). There is also Combustion. Some of the editing packages can do basic compositing and overlays.

I don't know of any free ones though . They are quite expensive Shake was $10000 a pop until a few months ago when they stopped developing it. Now its $500.
