Are there any cams with stop motion or time lapse out there?

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a new Cam for about £300 and was wondering if you can get them in this price range with the stop motion function (like good old Ray Harryhausen!). I do remember that Sony did something similiar a few years go and called it time lapse.

Does anyone have this function on their cam and what are the results like?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not quite the same I guess...But I've used it by hooking up my camera directly to a PC and let that do the stop motion recording....

Use a normal digital stills camera pull the frames into a decent package and run them as a sequence. Radtools can take a series of tiffs and turn it into an avi. I'm sure it can handle other formats and its free.
