Hi,
I cannot upload files from PC to my JVC GZ-MG77 HDD, it seems i can only download. Everytime i tried i get an error message saying "The Disk is write-protected", but there is no option to unptect the disk from the camera!
The manual also does not mention anything about this feature (although it does not explicitly say that it is not supported).

Now I don't consider this feature really essential but it can be convenient at times. For example if you want to show your video in a place where there is no PC/DVD player then the only option is playing it directly from the camcorder.
If you delete the file from the HDD it seems you have no possibility to upload it back again.
Note i'm talking about uploading files (pictures or movies) taken with the same camera. Importing files on the SD card works.

- Did anybody with a JVC GZ-MGxx try and succeed?
- How about other HDD cameras?

Just got an answer from JVC and they confirmed it's not possible to write on the HDD from an exteranl source (eg PC via USB cable).
That's a shame.

Any other HDD Camcorder owners out there with a non JVC model? Is the same iwth other brands?
