Which firewire card

Which firewire card

What is the most reasonable and cheapes firewire card is there a vast difference between makes and prices

There's very little diffderence between different cards and they probably all use the same Texas Instruments chipset.

You will not notice any differnce in PQ as firewire is a means of capturing and trasnferring digital data. The PQ is determined by the camcorder not the firewire card.

Expect to pay around £10 for the card and £5 for a cable. The drivers are included with the XP OS.

I got this one a few weeks ago:-

It was 9.99 including firewire cable, postage and a free copy of U-Lead Video Studio 8 (Unfortunately I already had VS9!)

It works fine.
