hi just bought second hand a sharp viewcam VL-E630 , the battery won,t turn the viewcam on , also when i go to charge the battery , the charge light on the charger comes on as normal , but after about 20/30 mins the charger light flashes , still the battery dosen't work , is the battery toast...
next when i record a clip , on playback on the viewcam cannot get any sound just picture , then when i put the audio/video leads into the tv , i can get sound on the tv , is this normal .. also anywhere i can download the manual tried sharp website no such listing of mt camcorder

Well, I had this same problem, was a little perturbed no one had answered your post in over two years...but the problem worked itself out in my case. Hopefully yours too. Just keep trying, keep placing it on the charger over and over until you see the charge light go off and stay off. Then, your battery is charged and should work. I had almost given up, due to your post going unanswered and and my fruitless search for a manual for this puppy. Hope you haven't gone crazy.
