Nearly Decided on Sony.....

Hi

After trawling the internet and trying to decide how much I would actually use it, I think i've decided on a Sony HC44.

It's on Amazon for under £300. Before I take the plunge, does anyone have any advice about this camera ??

Also, I think I would like to (eventually) start editing videos on my PC and burning them to DVD, does anyone know if this camera has that option ??

Thanks
Scott

For the price, HC44 is a nice camera. Some recent threads on it

"How I did it" - buying a first camcorder
Canon MVX460 vs Sony DCR-HC46

The Canon MVX460 is an alternative to consider.. but these seem to be getting harder to find.

With any miniDV camera (such as the HC44) you can edit on a PC and create DVDs. You will need software for this.
