anyone have any thoughts on a sony hc35? I am looking for a cheap minidv camcorder with dvin and this seems to be an ideal choice. does anyone know of a better camcorder around the same price

A bit more expensive is the Canon MV960.... but this gives you true widescreen, and also AV-in.
Online prices around £250. Only downside is some reports of motor noise (not seen/heard by all).

thanks Mark
I already have a sony hc19e and true widescreen on the canon might not be the same as the widescreen on the hc19. I also use an older sony digital8 trv310, so I am leaning towards sony. I intend to eventually change to hd, so I don,t want to spend too much. I am wanting to archive all my digita8 stuff onto minidv thanks
