Decision Time- Help

After a lot of looking, I have decided upon the following two Canon MV960 Mini DV Camcorder and the Panasonic NVGS37B Digital Video Camera, unable to decide which one offers more for the beginner, ease of use etc, any help would be appreciated.

For ease of use, not much difference.

2 advantages of the Canon:

1. It is true widescreen; so if you have a widescreen TV you'll get better quality widescreen results.

2. It has AV-in (e.g. convert VHS to DV), and DV-in (output edited project to tape).
