Jvc mg30 switching off.

I have a jvc mg30 hdd, it switches off after a short period and i cant find out how to disable this annoying function any ideas? as filming track days are impossable. Also i find the dark areas very noisy or am i expecting to much?.

Is it something to do with having the drop feature enabled ? ie it shuts itself down to protect the video file ( bumping and shaking around in car on track day ? )
Does it shut down when not filming in that environment ?
