It is probably as easy as they are simply on top of each other.....Just use normal window operations to grab the windows by its sides and drag it to make them larger or smaller....

It helps it you work in high resolution, I use it in 1920x1200...It may mean you have to reduce the size of you media explorer.....

Jean-Paul is correct - you can undock the windows by dragging their handles (row of 6 vertical dots). You can also re-dock the preview window in a position where it can be open the same time as the mixer.

It will take some time to learn (this is the case with any editing software. A nice reference which as some free tutorials is here:

http://www.jetdv.com/vegas/forum/vie...2847d9a7ac3659

Many tasks in Vegas can be done in multiple ways… I can answer what I think you are asking with how I do it.

how can i remove unwanted scenes

From the timeline use the split command (S key). So if you have ABC and you want to remove scene “B”, set the cursor to the start of B and hit “S”, set it to the end of B and hit “S”… then delete B. If “autoripple” is on then C will be moved to be next to A.

scenes when i add an audio track how can i add another one just after finishing the first audio track, how do i find out the exact point where the first audio track finishes

Well if what you want is to have one audio event start at the exact point where a previous audio event ends then I’d put them on the same track – that way you can line them up easily (when you move the 2nd event next to the first they will snap together – providing snapping is on.. which I think is the default).

If you have to have them on different tracks then zoom in on the timeline (by clicking on the “+” at the bottom right of the timeline). You can zoom in so that you can see individual frames.

DVD Architect 3.0 is the full version which you can buy as a package with the full version of Vegas 6.

DVD Architect Studio 3.0 is a cut down version, which comes as a package with Vegas Movie Studio.

The latest version of DVD Architect is 3.0c; the latest version of DVD Architect Studio is 3.0b.

Ok – so I assume you have imported your wedding video into Vegas… and you have a single video track and a single audio track, right?

To remove the audio: If you don’t want any of that audio at all, simply delete the audio track (right click on the track information to the left of the timeline and select “delete track”).

If you want to some sections of the audio and keep others, split the audio up into multiple events (using the “S” key as I described for the video). For the bits you don’t want you can either delete them, or what is easier is to simply set the volume to 0 for those events (at the top of the waveform on the timeline point the mouse until it says “gain is 0.0db”, then left-click to select and drag down to the bottom of the track.). As an alternative you could create a volume envelope (insert, audio envelope, volume).. but that is a bit more complex as it requires learning about setting keyframes.

To add new audio simply drag and drop the replacement audio – easiest way would be to put it on a new track.

Nizam..
... I dont have your "postal address" and cant post the DVD as mentioned above to an email address
I find the " show me how" tutorials that come with the Studio software very helpful this has made me suspend an online order the Vegas tutorials ( Ł65) for now.
If you post or email a few specific queries I can tape the relevant " show me how" tutorial and put them on a DVD for you.
I would suggest you take a little time to get the basics before launching into an important edit as the learning "as you go along" route may be painful ( if ultimately educative ) especially for something like a wedding video where much is expected
In short watch the DVD.. do a small "project" and put your new skills to practice b4 tackling the wedding
