Can anyone tell me a program that lets me pause a video and insert text if you know what I mean..ive been looking everywhere for one and cant find one. Thanks

Adding text is easy. There are a couple of ways to pause in Vegas.. you can use a "velocity envelope" and set the speed to 0... or you can simply cut the video at the desired point, grab a still of that last frame at the cut point, and have that frame stay showing for as long as you want.

Surely EVERY video editing programme can do that - as a minimum by grabbing a still picture and putting that in the timeline with your text over it, if not actually pausing the video - the final effect is the same - or there's not any real need to pause the video - they can all put text over the moving video as well,
