Angry DVD-Ram/Panasonic VDR-M50... Help!

Hey, I'm new here because I really wan't to start making/editing movies with my friends. But there is one problem... I can't get the things I have recorded from my camcorder onto my computer.
I recently purchased a Panasonic VDR-M50 and I am using DVD-Ram discs with it, because they can hold the most, and seem the most efficient. The software they gave me is useless, and my computer freaks out when I put in a DVD-Ram disc...
Is there any way I can get my video's onto my computer? Like any software I can download, or am I doomed to buy a new camcorder?

Most likely your PC DVD drive isn’t DVD-RAM compatible. Best solution would be to add a DVD-RAM compatible DVD drive to your PC.

Once you can read the disc there are various software packages you can use to edit.

Here's what I do. I have the VDR 70 camera. I use the software which came with my camera, MovieAlbum SE, and through the usb cable, I get all the footage from the camera onto the PC. With MovieAlbum SE you can get all the footage off the camera onto the PC.

If you don't have the MovieAlbum SE get it here http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/c...ediastage.html

I then use Cyberlink Power Director 5 to edit the footage. And then Cyberlink can burn the final draft onto DVD to be played and shared with others on a normal DVD player.

Hope this helps
