dv in/out panasonic nv-dx 110

i have one problem with my panasonic nv-dx 110 dv-in.
I can't record. I see the image and sound on the camera through the dv link, but when i start to record,,,,, the record button doesn't work.
Is there a happy idea to activate the record button on a menu or a combinatión on buttons or something???

This camera is an upgrade of the nv-dx 100 and the diference between them is the dv in active. The signal is inside the camera as i can see and hear through it but ..... i can't record it.

I'm only trying to find an answer to this problem.

Thanks a lof for your support and sorry about my english. I write you from spain.

congratulations about the forum.

Not familiar with this but dont you use the editing program ( whatever make that is ) to enable record back to the camcorder. That is use the camcorder controls that are shown on the computer , not the record button on the camcorder.

Yes, as lurcher said, that's generally how it is done. What software are you using?

I'm not using software because it's connected this way:

dv cable----cannopus (digital/analog interface)----------VHS video tape recorder

I was only trying to pass to dv an old concert of Camel i had in vhs. The conexions are in the right way as I can see and hear the video through the camera.

Yesterday I conected the camera to a Mac with final cut and i can remote the camera but the recording option was not enabled.

thanks for your support.

problem solved

the answer to the problem was very simple giving thanx to this foro.

I read other post of the dx 110 and found the manual in panasonic uk (in spain they don't have it).

The recording option of the dv in is only available from the remote control!!! the remote control has a record button only for dv-in signal.
Only keep pressing the record button f and the play button and the camera starts to record the external signal through the dv in!!!!

Thanx a lot for your foro.
