Hello all, I'm new here so don't hold it against me.

I've got a dv camcorder directly hooked up to my PC via firewire. The task I need to accomplish is for me to be able to view live video, somewhat fullscreen (no 3x5 windows), and the ability to take/save snapshots while the video is being viewed live.

I appreciate any advice you can give.

With the software I use (Vegas), once capture is complete I can view in a large window, and can pause at any point to take a snapshot. But I can’t take a snapshot while capturing. I don’t know of any software that does… (but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist). Generally you want to leave capture alone so you don’t get dropped frames, so I’m not sure this is such a good idea.
