Hi Folks

I am looking at buying a mate's Panasonic VDR-M70GC DVD camcorder and I've been rooting around on the internet for specs but most of what I can find refers to the VDR-M70B. The pictures look the same so what is the difference between the two models?

Also, he's asking nearly £300 for it, it is only 6 months old and in top condition and he has been showing me adverts for the VDR-M70 on the internet for £450+ (even as much as £585 on Amazon). Is this a fair price?

The UK model is the VDR-M70EB.

VDR-M70GC looks like a model for the asian market. The manual is available in Chinese; and this model is also being sold in India.

The camcorder itself is probably the same... just that your friend has an import rather than the UK model.

The VDR-M70 has been replaced by the M75, which is similar but has 1.3 MP CCD rather than 1.0. The M75 is £483 at Amazon.

I'm not sure what the used market is like... £300 seems reasonable to me.
