After weeks of deliberating and emails from redsox_mark (thanks) I think I am going to take the plunge and purchase the Sony DCR-HC44E

Main reason for wanting it is for family shots, I will then be dropping results into Movie Maker (or similar ) for editing before burning off to DVD. As I currently do with my old panasonic before it broke...

However before I do order it I am seeing if there are any real issue's not to purchase it?
