Help w/video editing software

I am a new volleyball coach and will be video games and using them for scouting and analysing. I have all the hardware but I do have a question about the software. What are the major differences between the sports video editing software (dartfish, video this etc.) and just your everyday Video editing software. I want to make cut up of letsay all of team a' outsdide hitters or all of their middle attack defensive plays. Please let me know what I need and what the difference is.

Karen

I don’t do sports video and are not familiar with these packages, but I took a quick look at Dartfish.

With any video editing package you can select just the parts you want. What Dartfish seems to add is features like categorizing events so you can find them, and an easy interface to “draw on the screen”.
