| Canon MVX200 for £200
I'm in the market for a camcorder and have been trying to do some research using these excellent forums and also deciding how much to spend.
I started off looking at the budget end as I felt I didn't want to shell out anything too hefty at the moment.
It seems that the first price point is around £750-£800 for something like the Sony HC3 which looks like it gives a big leap in quality with HiDef format. So based on that I thought it was not worth spending in the £450-650 range and not get HiDef.
Now someone I know has offered me a new Canon MVX200 for £200 brand new with warranty. The reviews I've seen are good and I realise its a 2004 model. But if the results are good, then this seems a good fill in option that would suit my needs and give me as good a quality as I could expect without paying for HiDef. Also, wouldn't the quality of the pics be up with a £450 - £500 camera, but just lack the number of features?
Is my logic sound?
Does this Canon sound like a good deal? If not what else could I go for at the lower end?
I'm planning to take holiday viedo this summer in the USA, nothing complicated. Download results to PC and burn DVD's.
Thanks in advance
