Help with burning to DVD

I have a folder on my Hard Drive which contains the foolowing files;

VIDEO_TS 6KB BUP File
VIDEO_01_0 66KB BUP File
VIDEO_TS 6KB IFO File
VIDEO_01_0 66KB IFO File
VTS_01_1 1,048,574KB VOB File
VTS_01_2 1,048,574KB VOB File
VTS_01_3 1,048,574KB VOB File
VTS_01_4 1,048,574KB VOB File
VTS_01_5 267,410KB VOB File

When I doble click on the VIDEO_TS IFO File the Video starts playing in InterVideo WinDVD 5 with no problems.
My problem is how do I go about burning this Video to DVD as I would like to give it to a relative? I have Nero 6.6.1.4 available for burning.
If possible please keep any solutions as easy as possible please ....I am new to all this!!

Dave

You need to end up with a disc which has two folders at the root of the disc (i.e. when you open the disc you should just see these two folders) :

VIDEO_TS
AUDIO_TS

Make sure the folders are called exactly that.
VIDEO_TS should contain the files you mention.
AUDIO_TS should be empty but is important for compatibility.

Not totally sure about Nero but I think if you tell it to create a DVD Video disc it will create the folders for you then just drop your files in.

regards

Brian

See Section 7.4, "Creating a DVD-Video disc from DVD-Video files", page 76 in this Nero 6 manual

I have those 2 folders and as you say the AUDIO_TS is empty and the VIDEO_TS contains the 9 files previously mentioned. However when I try to add them to Nero it only accepts the VOB files. If I carry on and burn the DVD from there I get the video ok but no sound.

Dave,

Brian is correct - the AUDIO_TS folder is only for the seldom seen DVD-Audio disc (an audio-only disc to compete with Super Audio CDs). The actual audio for your DVD is multiplexed together with the mpeg video in those .VOB files. So the AUDIO_TS will be empty.

Make sure you are telling Nero you want to create a DVD-Video disc.
