Smallest & Best Camcorder & Camera in One?

Apologies if this question has been asked before, but I'm looking for a camcorder and camera in one, something that can easily be carried in the pocket. I'd use it for stills first, but would want the facility to record decent quality video footage at short notice if required (hence the reason why I'm not looking at a camera that can do video footage, due to no image stablisation facility).

Does anyone recommend the best camcorder please, based on the above? I was looking at the Sony DSCM2CEH but would prefer a make that has SD memory if possible....

If you are looking for something like the Sony DSC-M2 (which is classed as a digital camera) - something the size of a small digital camera - then you might be better asking in the digital camera forum. There are camcorders which do decent stills (like the Canon Mvx4i - it is a 4 MP stills camcorder and a quality Mini DV camcorder, but with dimensions of W x H x D 51 x 101 x 102mm it will fit in a jacket pocket, but not a shirt pocket.)

As mark says the canon mvx4i is about the best hybrid camcorder and stills camera at the moment, it's not going to fit into your jeans pocket though.

Only thing I can think of is the Sanyo xacti cameras if your looking for a very small device, they use SD cards to store on, there's even a HD version out now, don't expect the best stills or video from then though
