Toshiba RDSx32 DV Editing? Is it hard?

Hi folks, can anyone help?

I'm currently using Studio9 on a desktop PC to edit DV videos taken with my Sony DV camcorder and then burn to DVD. The process, although simple as its a drag and drop based system seems to take an age and a day while processing.

My question is, Im thinking of getting rid of the PC as have 2 laptops and dont use the PC that much now so how hard is it to edit using the Tosh? Can you insert transitions etc into the final edit? How easy is it to cut scenes etc?

Thanks, Steve

Capturing DV and editing on the XS32 is easy. It is easy to trim the video, and to create a DVD.

However - the only editing tool you have is straight cuts - no transition, no adding text (to a video).

I have a XS32. I use it with my camcorder when I need to create a DVD quickly with minimum effort, and simple cuts are good enough. Otherwise I edit on the PC... and yes rendering out to MPEG and authoring a DVD will take time.
