help for firsttime filmmaker

im a student looking to go into the world of film. Thus i need a good camcorder for my independant films. I need a camcorder that will record at a large enough size to look good on the big screen, it needs to be easily transferred to my pc for editing, it also must be affordable i.e. £500 max.

any advice or reccomendations of models would be great.
