Sony DV (model DCR PC-109E) AV Input Problem

Hi

I have a Sony DV (model DCR PC-109E) and am trying to input the signal from a Draganflyer remote helicopter "eyecam extreme". Information about this can be seen at http://www.rctoys.com/eyecamextreme.php

This is a 460 lines of resolution CCD micro video camera.

If I plug an A/V phono lead into the radio reciever of the "eyecam" and the other end into the A/V socket of the PC-190E into the camcorder or docking station, I get nothing on the DV. (I go to the edit/play menu >>REC CONTROL)

I've tried an NTSC to PAL converter with no joy. The signal is ok if I plug it into my TV.

Can anyone help me ?

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick,

I guess you have a PAL camcorder and this eyecam is NTSC?? Check your camcorder first by plugging in either another PAL camcorder or VCR and see if you have the settings correct to get the AV IN.

If you get signal in that way then you need to look at the eyecam further and I would think that if it is NTSC you will need to go through a convertor but it might not like the res being fed in (?).

Hope this helps alittle!
