Sony DCR-PC53 - transferring to PC

I have a Sony dcr-pc53 but I cannot get it to transfer my film to PC for love nor money.

It will connect to PC fine, but I cannot seem to get the camcorder to play whilst the PC is capturing. When the cam is in 'play' mode, the link to the PC is automatically broken?!?

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but god knows what. Any help or had the same problem

(i have tried the manual and sony support, but as usual, shocking. Sony = Never again)

how are you connecting the camera to the PC ?

What software are you using to Capture with ?

What operating software are you using ?

Whats the spec of your PC ?

go to the cam settings menu and set it to USB stream mode
