1 Unit or 2 ??????????????????

I am in the market for a new camcorder and digi camera my budjet is around £1000 can someone tell me if these all in one camcorder/camera units are good or bad and if they are is it best to go for DVI tape or SD cards or is it better to buy one of each unit.

Cheers

IMO you are always better getting a dedicated unit for the intended job. Although the newer camcorders are better at taking still photos than they used to be, they are never going to be as good as a dedicated digicam as the electronics are very different for each type of camera.

Mark.
