Help.confused About Video 8 Format

Hi there,

I need help.. I have several old 8mm tapes video8 pal which i want to view.. what camcorder do i need to view them on.?? I currently have a
SONY DIGITAL 8 DCR-TRV265EPAL

the tapes fit fine in here but do not play (blank screen)

Can anybody give me some advice..

Bad news I'm afraid,
This model hasn't got the facility to play back any other format but Digital 8.
Some models, like the very similar DCR-TRV460E would playback all 8mm formats but only record in digital 8.

Talk to one of these companies - they will be able to convert them to something you can view : -
