Question Buying in USA - Please help

Hi Guys

I am going to US in a few weeks time. I am planning to buy the Panny PV GS 300 and a sony DCR DVD405 for my friend and save some bob.

Are there any compatability issues when using it in he UK? The Panny has a NV prefix in UK

I have been told that the camcorders bought in USA do not work here as they record in NTSC format. Are all camcorders bought in the USA in the NTSC format? Please advise.

Any help would be great

Cheers

YM

The mains voltage is not the problem, most work from 100V - 240V. The NTSC/PAL thing is a problem. Read here for some more info.
