Ulead problem recording voice to slide show

I have built a slide show in Ulead VideoStudio9 and am trying to record voice to accompany the slides. My voice seems to record ok, ie.. the wave file is created in the voice track as I talk - but, when I play back - nothing.

The next clip on the timeline is a video clip and the sound for the video clip plays back fine.

Any help is appreciated "cmovie" Thanks

did you check the recording level using the inbuilt control in VideoStudio before you recorded your voice - you may also need to select 'microphone' in your windows 'RECORDING' (not playback) volume control panel - the lights must flick into the red as you speak to record your voice properly.

Will the wave file you have created play in Windows Media player ?
