JVC Camcorder fuses?

Had camcorder out in snow at Christmas, suddenly died on me. Been told it may be fuse and quoted £1.50 for fuse and £80 labour. Does anyone know where I can get a fuse direct and how easy it is to swap?

If it is a fuse it's likely to be a "SM" (Surface Mount) type fuse which means it's a tiny thing and would require soldering of a very delicate nature to the circuit board...that and the taking apart/re-assembling is why the labour would be around £80.
It may not be a fuse and if it is the replacement may blow again if there is a shorted component due to damp/water ingress.
