digital input sony camcorder doesn't work

I have a sony hc20e camcorder and i have a problem. The digital in/out only works for outgoing traffic. When i want to record something from my computer onto a tape it says that the connection is broken...
What could this be? If the digital out works fine, then i would say it is not the connector, but is that true??

who has any tips?

Please give us more information on your problem so we can help out. Please explain more about it says connection is broken? What software is saying this and does it really say broken ??
